If you’re anything like me (someone who likes to try out new things) you will love this..its called the home made scrub...
I never tried anything like a sugar scrub until one morning when I ran out of the body scrub product that I use...out of curiosity I tried using table sugar as a body scrub and it did wonders to my skin...at a point I was even making some and giving them out as a gift to family and friends..
Why A Scrub?
Scrubing removes dead skin cells and can make your skin feel smooth and soft, especially during this dry season. A sugar scrub is alpha-hydroxy rich. Alpha-hydroxy is an active substance with exfoliating and emollient properties. By making them yourself your skipping all the possibly problematic ingredients that are in most store bought products, which could cause adverse events...
Here are the things you need to make your sugar scrub;
-Sugar
-carrier oil of your choice
-essential oil of your choice
-glass jar
-mixing spatula
Some homemade scrubs you may want to try;
The Arabian oud Scrub:
The Arabian oud scrub is my No 1 choice because of the beautiful scent that stays on the body long after you're done. All you need for this are; sugar, carrier oil and an arabian oil of your choice.
Lemon-Sugar Scrub;
Lemon has antiseptic and cleansing effects on the skin. all you need to make your Lemon scrub are; sugar, lemon oil or juice (from fresh lemon), carrier oil of your choice
You can also try out Peppermint scrub with peppermint oil replacing lemon oil above. this is also very good for the skin as it also has antiseptic and anti-fungal properties.
Do you know any other Home-made scrubs we can try out?
